Description: The Center is now accepting registration for an evidence-based Arthritis Foundation Tai Chi Program. The class is designed to improve balance, increase range of motion, circulation and leg strength, as well as decrease arthritic pain. The instructor, Mike Gentile, AF Tai Chi Certified, states that every person, even those free of arthritis can benefit by taking the class. The class will start on Mon., Sept. 10 and run for six weeks, meeting every Monday from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Because the Center has received a grant to offer the class, there is no actual set fee to participate in this particular class. However, the recommended cost sharing amount for the class is $36 for those who wish to help the Center provide additional evidence-based classes through their monetary support. Space is limited. The facility and instructor can accommodate individuals interested in taking the class who have a physical disability or impairment. A commitment to attend each class and prior registration is required by Sept. 6. For more information call 704-662-3337.
