Description: Are you one of over 44 million Americans who are providing unpaid and informal care to family members or friends? If you provide help to a loved one, then POWERFUL TOOLS FOR CAREGIVERS classes are for you! Learn how to reduce personal stress, communicate effectively with others and handle challenging situations. Learn how to: Handle tough caregiving decisions, hold family meetings, family caregivers in the workplace, long distance caregiving, grandparents raising grandchildren, accessing local resources, how to handle grief, loss, end of life issues, and much more! This 6 week 2.5 hour course will enhance your caregiving skills and knowledge. Class dates are: April 4th, April 11th, April 18th, April 25th, May 2nd, and May 9th, 2012 from 1 to 3:30 pm held at South Iredell Senior Center, 202 N. Church Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. There is no cost, but donations are greatly appreciated. Respite Care can be provided for your family member, but this must be reserved in advance.
